In 1831, Jean-LeBourde was shipwrecked off the coast of Madagascar. He and Queen Rana Valano struck up a mutually lucrative partnership. The man began with an arms and munitions factory but soon he had created an entire city of production. Some claim with no evidence that LeBourde and Queda Valano became lovers.
