How to Write a Directions Book or a Landmark Book
The only way you can work out whether you should be writing a directions type book or a landmark type book is to do with the one reader. Landmark books are what I call weeping wounds. So they have a pain. Maybe they've got a rock in their shoe, but they can still carry on walking. And then to that weeping wound is going to turn into a bigger and bigger problem. But they tend not to notice that until it becomes a bigger problem. Your job with a landmark book is to show them the beauty at the top of the mountain. If you get to the top of this mountain, if you read as a leader, then things are going to be better for you
