The Importance of Perception in Drawing
In the Warner Brothers cartoons, they'll have Elmer Fudd turn to the camera and his head gets bigger as if he got six feet closer to the camera. And those are examples of I'm messing around with proximity effect, even in a way that it isn't possible. If you can treat these three axes that it's all based on, height, width, and depth, think of them as poles all at right angles to each other from different positions. It does not take ten thousand hours to learn perspective,. But at least 100 hours, and maybe two or three hundred.
