The Problem With the Word User

Designers often do a poor job of seeing users as humans in all their beauty and complexity. More often I believe that this is due to like culture and design practice constraints rather than them using the word user. You know when you're working in a group in a team then you have to everyone has to be comfortable with the language you're using. If it becomes apparent that the term user isn't something that your group feels comfortable with then they don't feel comfortable with it.
