The Importance of Intuition in AI Strategy
Having a clear intuition of why the thing that I'm working on should be true can be like pretty helpful for this. But importantly, this is much more of a local thing than the global nature of inside views. And there's a similar principle that's useful even beyond research. If you're thinking about strategy for a Lyman or a Lyman community building effort,. Having views on which areas are more likely to be useful for the problem and having views on exactly how we might end up coordinating on AI all help.
