A lot of times when you're trading for a player, you're really trading for them for the remainder of their contract. And because the a's or the a's, they can't stand the thought of paying even an arbitrary ARP 2 salary to anybody. If teams are acquiring them for the short term, their extendability is not really an issue in how much they're offering for them. I like Daniel's discretion here.
