Mickey may have had strong feelings about the exploitation of Malibu and surf culture, but he didn't mind doing a little exploiting of his own. "He was making boku bucks because he was doing a lot of stunt work," Diane says. He started flirting with either the producer's daughter or somebody's daughter that had the power to give him more work. Even off the film sets on the beach in Malibu, Mickey always seemed to be in character.
