The Evolution of the Neanderthal Genome
There's so many avenues to go down when thinking about what these genomes that you've revealed tell us. The phrase that I think is used in the press release for the Nobel Prize is it helps us understand what makes us uniquely human. Then there's another level of this where we want to say what making us uniquely modern you rather than genetic changes that happen since we separated from Neanderthals half a million years ago spread to everyone or most of us. But that's really a challenge for the next five or ten years to try to find out those things.
