The Importance of Confession

There is no sin that you would ever commit that is outside of the rescuing, forgiving, restoring, transforming grace of the Redeemer. Your hope and confession is not based on how your wife will respond to it. But we'll receive that confession, we'll forgive and we'll empower the repentance that is then necessary. That's why David in Psalm 51 confessing his adultery with Bathsheba says to the Lord it's against you and you only have I sinned.
