Backgammon wasn't just played in the places that rich people hung out. It was also played by rich people. The first big jump for me was this woman who from St. Louis, Martha Sturdevan is her name. She had two ex-husband's that were oil magnets. So she would I think she had a money manager and she was allowed about $80,000 a week to gamble. And what happened one time, this is where it worked out great for me being in it.
