The iron core of this book is sexual realism. Women and men are not the same and they never will be. Until we acknowledge this, nothing can change. Harrington does not ignore men, though they are supporting players in most of her thoughts. The exception is her full-throated endorsement of single-sex groupings especially for men who socialize in very different ways from women.
