The Importance of Genesis Six
The shape of the biblical cosmos that you get in the first few pages is most helpful to start with. It's setting literally and metaphorically the stage on which the narrative takes place. To me, the most illuminating is to look at how the author has designed the first to the seven day creation story and then the Eden story. The literary design of those two stories is a really important part of the message that they're trying to communicate.
