60 frames a second is the magic number for game development. Now if I put 10,000 pixels on the screen, if we had a flock of birds that might be issues. You got to optimize in different ways. The collision detection chapter ended up being fun, fun for me to write, probably not as much fun for my editors because it's just simple box to box collision detection.
