Bit coin is just open source software. There had never been anything like it afore bit coin. It's a protocol with all the languagea visible and transparent, let's say. Everyone can see the code. Crypto is essentially other individuals or businesses copying that code. So they're either trying to compete with the money over in at protocol, or they're trying to use it for some other market.
