Using a Plasmodium Parasite in a Mosquito

CNN's John Sutter spoke with scientists at the University of California, San Diego. The researchers found that mosquitoes can strengthen their amene system to fight other pathagins. They were able to test for infection intensity by feeding them blood spiked with posmodium gametasites. But they also wanted to make sure there was no risk a mosquito would become infectious.
