The Last Tolstoy Book You've Read?
I've been reading some of his diaries, and also Sophia Tolstaya's diaries. I honestly think his short stories... They're not better than his novels, but they are amazing. There's something about them that I appreciated it more. Maybe just because my modern brain's been destroyed by Twitter. He disavowed all of his earlier writing, except for a few short stories. The ones he liked were like ... It was an art.
