The Legend of the Malwales
My dad grew up in Puebla, where Malwales are sort of the spin-walker, shapeshifters. He always told me stories of how they would steal and rape women. One day he was coming home super just drunk; his wife had gone away late. His mom saw a dog walking through the house with an upside-down head. I thought my dad was the biggest, toughest guy in the world. This thing would cower over him.
