The Black Box Nature of Foundation Models

Deep learning is a new emerging trend, and I wouldn't expect many companies to build the technology in-house. It's really also a business decision. Do we need to build the model from the ground up, or are we making use of some of the tools that help me customize the model? So I would be customizing the model, make it useful for me as we'll be, hey, what does it look like? Simon: Because of this black box nature of foundation models, perhaps we need to solve the problem at product design level.
