The Promise of the Holy Ghost
Christ's mission was to conquer death, not Rome. He broke the chains that really matter and freed us from the only kind of death we really ought to fear. Just like David said, the Davidic monarchy is alive and well. Christ will rise above every enemy. His foes will be his footstool. But how do we come into that companionship? Look at verse 36. Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified both Lord and Christ.
