A lot of bogus things get into trading books where they just cherry pick examples. Even as an algo trader, I was looking at a book on scalping and it came across this one that said he uses range breakups. But nobody looks at two or three bars, like the red box on the upper right and says, that's a narrow extended range, right? "You're really looking for reasons that these educators, you're looking for reasons to doubt them"
