Is There a Framework for Shortcuts in iOS 12?
Before the to pass data between applications, you had to use a URL scheme. With parameters, now applications can freely exchange data between themselves. It's not a hack that was thought of later. And as developers incorporate this, it's going to greatly increase the things you can do with shortcuts. So yeah, this is really good and hopefully this will replace the URL scheme.
