Antibiotic Resistance: What You Need to Know
Risk factors for TB include being born or living in an area where it is more common, if you're under the age of five. If you live in overcrowded or unhealthy conditions, if you drink alcohol or take drugs,. All these things are risk factors for TB. And then treatment is pretty straightforward. It's just, it's just antibiotics. We've also got a vaccine called the BCG vaccine. They give it to people that are at higher risk. But crucially, and this is very important, those need to be taken daily for four to six months to be effective.
