Focused Attention
Flow is really the optimal state of attention and this was identified by Mihay Tik's Menti High. When people are in a flow state, they're so immersed in something that time just doesn't matter,. They're just not thinking of time. But most of the time for knowledge work, it's not realistic to expect that you will enter a flow state. You can think of focus as a precursor to getting into flow. And I think on walking as well, getting outside, increases brain derived neuro-traffic factor, BDNF in the brain, releases neuro-peneferenced.
