How to Fix a Slow Commit?

If i were to see something really slow, em i would pop it openand see maybe what component in the tree is causing the problem. And then go like, run it again and make lake it does what i expect, and it goes down to zero,. That's like old school de bugging, where you are testing your assumptions. It sort of reducig o leads out the things you have, the noise that you don't really care about. So once you find a slow render, what sort of your next next step?
