The Break With Freud Was Involved in the First World War

Jung's break with Freud was, I think, right around 1912 or 1913. What instigated the break was a book he wrote called von Loomen und Zimbölder libido. That really was his own break in terms of differentiating his theories from Freud's. And so that led to the schism between Freud and Jung. He then went into his descent, but also that it's more than just the break with Freud. It's what's happening in the collective.
