The Problem With Saying That Humans Should Have Rights

Human rights are part of actual human moralities, not God given innate. Rights laws should change existing norms, not just describe moral customs. The idea that the values of the international order need to be brought to bear on backward nations or whatever is like a power game. They exist because they have become a country's law and we assert them based on crowdsourcing opinions. We're in danger of taking over these countries as a justification for war.
