The spec months library allows you to specify in the query, I want to create a like and I want this like to actually reference a topic or I want this other like to reference a post. It also does polymorphic references because in data, you have a just a generic reference type as opposed to like relational databases. And when you write the query, it should work the way that you expect it to. The NTB uses loom and loom is a very well done library that's made it easier to create spec monster.
