Barefoot training is far more popular now than it was 10, 15 years ago. It's probably true that we neglected foot muscles for a while. People will be surprised to hear that it's nowhere near as black and white as they'd like it to be. For me if you've then got time to do some stuff as well go for it. But please don't neglect so layers at the cost of picking up a pencil every night.
