The Precarious Nature of Globalization
I don't have the sense that there's much coherence around the idea that there might be a systemic problem with overproduction rather than, you know, a series of blips. I think it helps that the memory of the Soviet Union in the Cold War has gotten distant enough that these kind of conversations don't immediately go down those same lines. But I don't think that we yet have arrived at a real consensus of what we mean when we're having these conversations and what examples we use.
