Babisham was the first alcoholic drink specifically marketed to women. The craft beer scene for a long time didn't engage in the kind of marketing tricks that the main industry was engaged in right back then. What you do see in some notorious now, I think, examples of real-ale and craft beer branding is one called Trashy Blonde which describes her as 'stunning blonde beer full-bodied with a voluptuous, hop aroma'
