The Shadows of Myths and Drama

A recent article in The New Yorker, Green Dream, Yanks a Knot in My Stomach that has been tightening for some time. A story about nuclear fusion energy promises carbon-free way to power a household for a year on the fuel of a single glass of water. What is troubling me is a language that is entrenched in anthropocentrism. Clean alternatives mean we can keep living like we're currently living. We can keep consuming, we can keep ignoring our collective lack of center.
