The Importance of Pre-Stroke Functional Status
The most important factors with regard to successful thrombectomy, all the ones that were included in their studies anyway, were fourfold. So there was the time of onset, so you needed to know that. There was the pre-stroke functional level, so they classically categorized this as a modified ranking scale of three or less. Then there's the anatomical location of the stroke, so as we talked about, you need to have a reasonably big vessel for them to be able to fish it out of. The smaller those vessels go, there's more chance of aatrogenic harm such as perforation of that vessel. Now the final bit is around how bad are things looking
