The Importance of Personal Identity
In most cases, your personal identity is not a necessary requirement for the service to be provided. When you purchase a magazine at the store and hand cash to the clerk, there is no need to know who I am. Hey, I didn't have money before. That guy gave me money. Now I have money. So I'm happy to give him that paper magazine. And that's it. We can perform a perfectly fine and adequate service without needing to know where you live and how much money you are.
