The Language of the Antilles
Feno is a book about the relationship between language and culture. He says that to become more french, to adopt the language of the colonizer, became associated with becoming more white. The old culture was seen as subhuman by those who had been there before colonization. Fino: I'd like to hear more if anyone had any more thoughts on it.
