Nearly one in six people globally is affected by infertility. As of 2023, the majority of health care plans do not include fertility treatments in their coverage as they are not deemed medically necessary. 80% of patients who have undergone fertility treatments say it has negatively impacted their finances. Out of pocket costs can be upwards of $40,000 when it's all said and done.

One in six people globally is affected by infertility—and that means getting pregnant can be expensive. Today, we'll talk about the different types of fertility treatments available like IUI and IVF, how to budget for those costs, and some of the ethical implications of the topic at large.
