Without these sort of, what would we say, mental rationalization frameworks or whatever that they have, I mean, we really can't just permit the idea of miracles in the modern day. Granted, there's a lot of people who still believe in that sort of thing. But it really does not fit into our framework for interpreting the world. And thus, it has impoverished our ability to engage with art because art is myth-making.
