How Much Do You Expect to Differ?

There is a lot of noise in medicine, criminology and policy making. When we ask hundreds of executives for judgments of that kind how much they think would be ok, they say ten%. And when you do the study and you actually measure how much they differ, the answer is 55 per cent. We could go on and on. For the frenchman i am, there is, believe it or not, noise in wine competitions. That is really shocking that i find the least shocking. The reason it's interesting is because it's a matter of judgment. So we expect some disagreement between us, but hey, we're all highly qualified, competent people.
