Is There a Progression Missing?

I feel like the only way to progress past certain enemies is to cheese them. The tech tiers don't match the requirements to upgrade your tech So it's like yeah, I can put on the acorn armor and I can have a shield And you know try to do the blocking and everything But they do so much damage when they hit you and they're so aggressive. You need a full party of four to be taking down these insects instead of trying to feel like you just need someone to hit it while it's paying attention to someone else.
