Is Modern Subjectivism or Postmodern Constructivism Inherently Violent?

The power of ad equation rests in real being. Truth is therefore both in the intellect and the thing. Being makes the mind conform to it through its intelligibility. Here we see the beautiful interplay of the Thomistic system. There is for Aquinas no dominance over being. The dominance over being would better characterize, as I said before, a contemporary discourse. We are not automatons encountering an environment or field of being upon which we have no role to play. But neither are we the measure of being. Rather, we are receptive to being as it presents itself to us and we confirm the truth of being in our judgment.
