Tolkien's work has been so commercialized and pop culture-ized, if I can say that. There's like nonsensical diversity, right? That just doesn't make any sense. Even some of the like familial relations, like there's a hobbit, excuse me, hardfoot character. A white actress is portraying this hobbit girl. Her mother is clearly black. And it's not that they like, you know, and her father is white.
