The tokugawa are famous for bringing peace to japan. But what do you do with all those profess na warriors that are part of a hereditary, aristocratic warrior class whose entire role in society is to be the fighters? You know, in a time of widespread, sustained peace, it's actually a big problem. Our taggart murphy had the best thing i ever saw though, when he was discussing, let's call it the human side of this. It's the problem of having people who grow up emulating the great warrior deeds of their samurai ancestors and never get to use their skills.
