How to Explain Bitcoin to Outside of Finance
I was having dinner the other night with my girlfriend and one of her friends. She's like, well, what is it? And I was kind of a little bit stuck on how to explain it. In short, I usually say it's digital cash or digital money. It introduced a way to prove scarcity. Now you have a digital asset that has value and can be transferred. The blockchain comes in and where that ledger is verified.
