creationists believe there was a world wide flood, which would have had geological effects. The bible teaches that the earth's rock layers and fossil layers are exacty inrecord s. This is because they were formed by an enormous amount of water over millions of years. But this has led to some scepticism about whether or not it could be true. 'We're shooting ourselves in the foot if we want to deny the global patter,' says David Perry.
