How to Reference a Reference Checker
The problem with traditional reference checks is that they're often done as a box that we check. For me, it's really about figuring out the architecture of how someone thrives so that I can set them up to thrive in my team. Backdoor reference checks are something I'm such an advocate for right now. It can actively combat confirmation bias. And I find that some of those questions unlock kind of more of an organic conversation.
