What Is the Purpose of Finance?
This going to be an axistential question that, i think, for me at least, is really important. And in part from either an investment banking point of view or private equity point of view, like, how do you think about the purpose of financing? It's a great questionthere different areas of no finance, financeing, so capital raising. But i' say it broadly that the finance function is to manage, but simply manage cash. Manage how you deploy the cash to, ideally grow your business and create shareholder value.
