Do You Think It's Necessary to Draw a Line?

Do you think it's necessary to draw a line or are you wary about how much of yourself you're going to pour into a project? Do you think designers need to have their antenna a little more sensitive to how they might be impacted if things don't go their way? I'm not so good at it either, which can be kind of a liability sometimes I guess. Ultimately data is your friend. If you can justify your design decision based on distributed knowledge if you will and validation with users there's very little that you cannot prove. You can disprove bad design, you can validate good design,you can convince people.
