"The food in LA is better than anywhere I've ever had," Thompson says. "There is just so much in Toronto that the city can be proud of, especially with the food and especially with the representation of cultures" He's sad when restaurants try to live up to a standard of New York or LA because there's a bit of a sense that those are the trends to follow.
