"I think this is the beginning of a historic split between the creative communities and the tech platforms," says Nili. "If you just went and asked a normal person, does that seem fair to you? Does that seem appropriate that there's no compensation anywhere in that chain of events?" She adds: "Most people instinctively are going to say, yeah, that doesn't smell right."
