Mitha reminds me that stories can trap us if we let them ossify. The most important part about story telling is asking for the story, she says. Stories don't belong to human beings, but human beings belong to stories. Let's enter back into the complex, tangled work of letting o of authorship and letting ourselves be told. We're living inside stories that we have all mutually agreed will direct our moral, our ecological our social behavior. And i think it's important for us to understand that stories are happening, and we're involved in them, but we're not necessarily the main character or author.
