"I went to see him and after a lot of begging I got in," he said. "In some subterranean way he may have been my teacher through this many many years." The film was Natalie Woods' last, but she died before it was finished. It had enormous difficulties being made; the big thing that happened was that while it was opening in Hollywood we went to see it with no money in our pockets at all they barely afford to trip there. We did it withno money no promises to kids everything and everything changed. But you had to prove it you can't.
